Dan completed his undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University and his Orthotic training at Northwestern University. His specialties are pediatrics, trauma, diabetes, and sports bracing. Dan has completed special training with SureStep and Cascade, for pediatric DAFOs, and Spinal Technology's Scoliosis Course. In his free time, Dan enjoys playing golf and traveling. He lives in Saline with his wife and has two sons.

Chris completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and his Orthotic and Prosthetic training at Northwestern University. His specialties are pediatric and adult prosthetic care, orthoses for athletes , and unique custom orthotic and prosthetic challenges. Chris serves on the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (also known as ABC), has his Unity Certification with Össur, and Harmony Certification with Ottobock. He lives in Ann Arbor with his family.

Tom completed his undergraduate studies and his Orthotic and Prosthetic training at New York University. His specialties are rehabilitation orthotic care and prosthetic services. Outside of the office Tom greatly enjoys bowling . He lives in Canton with his wife, and has a daughter and two sons.

Steven Hoover, MBAHM, CP, LP, COA brings a unique perspective to prosthetics, being an amputee for over 50 years, and working in the field for over 30 years. Steve graduated with a BA from Concordia University, Prosthetic Certificate from Northwestern University, and his MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University. He has worked as a technician, clincian, as well as Technical Service Manager, Education Director, and Clinical Specialist in the manufacturing realm, and as a volunteer ABC Board Examiner. He is passionate about patient care and has done humanitarian work around the globe.
Steve is married and has 3 children which he mostly enjoys raising! He likes to BBQ and has done so for many large events, including graduation parties, weddings, etc. He is involved with his community, church, and in a Euchre club, but in his free time, you will most likely find him at the drag strip or in his garage working on his race cars! He also enjoys talking about them, so raise that topic at your own risk! His mechanical aptitude is a passion both in the garage and at work, and he firmly believes he has the greatest job in the world; helping people walk again and take back the life they desire!

Ahmad, MSOP is in his first year of residency here at Great Lakes Prosthetics and Orthotics. He completed his graduate studies in Tampa Florida at the International Institute of Orthotics and Prosthetics. Although he completed his graduate degree in the Sunshine State, Michigan is Home. Growing up, he went to school in Ann Arbor and completed his undergraduate studies at Eastern Michigan University. Ahmad’s mission in orthotics and prosthetics is to contribute to his current skills and grow as a clinician to provide excellent patient care.
Ahmad resides in Ypsilanti with his wife and daughter. They enjoy spending quality time with family. Throughout high school and college, Ahmad helped his father at their locally owned Auto shop. He helped build and expand their business, which is shaped around serving the community with quality service in good faith. Ahmad firmly believes his experience with customer service and satisfaction will translate over into his O&P career, helping him provide excellent patient care.

Erika McAuliffe, COA, CFts has over 16 years of clinical experience in the podiatric, pediatric and orthopedic fields. She graduated with an Associate Degree of Science from Schoolcraft College in May 2021. Originally from Southern California, she has enjoyed Pure Michigan and its winters since 2014. Erika enjoys volunteering her time with charitable organizations like Active Faith Community Services- South Lyon, Bronson's Children Hospital-Kalamazoo and Muscular Dystrophy Association. She is happily married and raises their son in the Lyon Township area. Erika is looking forward to meeting and assisting with your orthotic goods, foot orthotic and therapeutic shoe needs at Great Lakes Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Kayla completed her Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics at Eastern Michigan University in April 2024 and is now in her first year of residency at Great Lakes P&O. She has worked at Great Lakes since November 2020 in both clinical and administrative roles. She currently lives in South Lyon with her fiancé, Clay, and their cat, Dolly.

Clay began working at Great Lakes in an administrative role in April 2022, and is now completing his residency after graduating with his Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics in April 2024. He enjoys working right next to his fiancée, Kayla, every day.

Leilah Toran, CFo, has completed two years as an experienced orthotic fitter and 3D printing specialist. Over the past two years, Leilah has begun to 3D print test sockets and prosthetic covers for prosthetic patients. In April 2025, she will graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. After graduating, Leilah plans to enter a graduate program to earn her Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Leilah currently serves as the President of Eastern Michigan’s Exercise Science organization and is a member of the Eastern Michigan Women’s Track team. In her spare time, she works with other organizations, such as the Girl Scouts of America, to empower future generations to succeed, and she runs her own small business.
